An officer-involved shooting was reported Wednesday night in Orlando.

William Bullock, 36, of Winter Park is in custody accused of shooting at officers from a stolen vehicle and leading them on a chase.

Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolón said officers didn’t do anything to provoke the suspect before he started shooting at them and filled their car with bullet holes.

Two holes are in the driver’s side window of an Orlando police car with several more on the hood.

Shots fired allegedly by Bullock.

Security cameras from a home off Jim Glenn Drive captured the alleged shooting between two Orlando police officers and the suspect in a stolen car.

In the video obtained by WESH 2, you can see a blue car which police say was an undercover police car pull up near the intersection of Jim Glenn and Rose Avenue.

As it approaches the intersection, a white car driving down Jim Glenn slows in front of the undercover vehicle and then, gunshots.

“The bad guy just opened fire, I mean, point blank just opened fire on the cop car for no reason,” Terry Weaver, a neighbor, said.

Weaver witnessed the shooting.

He told WESH he’s heard gunshots in the area before, but he’s never seen anything quite like this.

“When I opened the door and actually seen them shooting at each other like you do in the movies,” Weaver said. “That was the first time I’ve ever actually seen that.”

Rolón says Bullock was in the car which had been reported stolen out of Jacksonville. Two of his officers in an unmarked car saw it in Rosement Wednesday night. And for about 10 minutes, they kept an eye on it while waiting for other officers.

“It could have very well been a situation where today we’re addressing one of our officers being injured or potentially killed,” Rolón said.

They stopped at an intersection on Jim Glenn Drive and the chief says the suspect drove by on a cross street.

“At that point, unprovoked, the individual starts firing at the officers,” Rolón said.

The officers’ car was unmarked and the chief says they can’t say yet whether Bullock knew that law enforcement was in that car.

Either way, the officers shot back but the shooters’ car took off. Others chased it to a neighborhood in Ocoee where Bullock was caught.

Rolón says there was already a warrant for his arrest and he’s had many others in the past.

“It is very frustrating when someone like this is out there and could care less about the lives of others when they’re taking these types of actions,” Rolón said.

Bullock is now being held on several charges, including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
