If you haven’t heard the latest news, the Chevrolet Corvette has absolutely been killing it over at J.D. Power, where the Corvette just received the Platinum Award for having the best overall quality of any vehicle tested.
Despite the assembly plant running as hard as it can and having to deal with all of the various supply chain issues, quality is really the one thing that they can control, and the Platinum award is a testiment the time and work put in by the Corvette’s quality team.
During the 2022 Corvettes at Carlisle, Tim Campbell was one of the featured speakers in the Corvette Engineering Tent. Tim is the Corvette Program Quality Manager, and he goes into how the quality team reads not only their customer surveys but those customer surveys from competing sports cars like Porsche. We haven’t really heard much from this side of the program, and it’s refreshing to know the lengths they go through to make sure that customers are happy with their new cars.
