Virginia Tech Police seeking info about vehicle thefts

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Authorities in Blacksburg are asking for the community’s help after thefts involving vehicles took place at Virginia Tech Monday evening.

The Virginia Tech Police Department says it received two reports of thefts from vehicles and one report of a theft of a vehicle from the parking lot near Litton-Reeves Hall at 175 Campus Drive on Monday, July 11.

According to police, the stolen vehicle is a white 1995 Nissan pickup truck with Virginia antique tags 9582Z, which has yet to be found as of this writing.

The department describes the suspects as two males with slender builds who were driving a full-sized, white Ford E-Series cargo van that has a patch of rust centered above the front windshield, but no front license plate.

Authorities also remind community members to lock the doors of their vehicles, remove their keys, and store valuables out of view.
